Amsterdam

Jon,

I am always up for an adventure! Do you know how long our layover is going to be? How much clothes are you planning on packing? Don't worry, I am hardly moving along in my readings as well.

We have a two-hour, five-minute layover in Amsterdam, and need to be back in the airport at least 45 minutes in advance. I think within an hour we can make it to a coffeeshop and take a very brief tour of the city, but we'll see. I'd like to find a place called "the Lucky Mother," based on what I've heard in videos and from friends.
As to clothes, I am packing about four oufits of long sleeved-shirts and pants. Though in some of our correspondence we have been advised NOT to bring short-sleeved shirts and shorts, I will be bringing 2 or 3 outfits of that nature. My friends parents are from Dehli and said it is commonplace for people to wear them. Still, I know we'll need to be dressed properly to visit religious and cultural sites, so I'm planning for each. And I'm bringing swimming trunks, fo sho. I am really looking forward to wearing Indian clothing, though, so that should be figured into my outfit count.
Ultimately, I intend to pack light. I think that will pay off more than any other thoughtline or strategy.
